Identitätsverstärker GmbH (iD) uses commonly deployed technologies in order to enable and facilitate the use of the services. This includes in particular so-called cookies. The following information will show the significance and purpose of the deployment of cookies and how the user can monitor their use and delete them, if desired.
What is a cookie?
Cookies are small files, e.g. settings, that the user has made on a website or that store information on the use of the website by the user. There are different types of cookies.
So-called Essential Cookies are mandatory for the operation of a website. If a user sets his browser in such a way that it does not accept cookies, the use of websites can be impaired and even result in a complete loss of the use option.
So-called functional cookies make it possible to store individual settings of the user and conveniently retrieve them for future website visitors.
Performance, analysis and targeting cookies collect information on how users use the services. With such information, iD is able to design its services in line with demands and, if applicable, tailored to the user’s needs.
iD uses all the aforementioned types of cookies for its services. Pseudonymous use profiles are created from the data collected via the cookies. The data is processed solely in pseudonymized form. It is not used to identify the user of the services personally. It is also not combined with data about the bearer of the pseudonym. Hence iD cannot create a behaviour profile that could be assigned to a user.
By continuing to use this website or by clicking on “OK” in the displayed banner, you agree to the processing of the collected data by ID for the demand-based customized provision of the services in the manner described above.
Monitoring and deleting cookies
The user can monitor the acceptance of cookies of the services (and of any other website) and, as the case may be, also block them as a whole or partially through the settings in the browser used. Moreover, cookies of the services (and any other website) can also be deleted.
The exact procedure for monitoring and deleting cookies depends on the browser used. You will find information on the right procedure with the “Help” function of your browser or at: www.aboutcookies.org, for example.
